  3. Kyleigh’s Law • MVC LAW that requires any driver under the age of 21, who holds a probationary driver license to buy a pair of decals that are to be displayed on the top left corner of front/rear license plates. • MANDATORY AS OF MAY 1, 2010

  4. RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE WITH BOTH STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR • IN ADDITION, HOLDERS OF GDL PERMITS OR PROVISIONAL LICENSES MAY RECEIVE $100 FINE FOR VIOLATING ANY GDL CONDITIONS STUDENT DRIVER TRAFFIC OFFENSE

  5. Need to Know Facts about having a NJ DRIVERS LICENSE

  6. Resident of NJ? Only can Carry a NJ License! • When driving on a permit, can only drive with a appropriately licensed driver. • When driving, you must always carry 3 things • Valid Drivers License • Insurance Card • Registration Card NJ Drivers ManualChapter 1

  7. A motorist who changes addresses must report this change within one week after moving, this includes individuals who move out of NJ. • A motorist who legally changes his/her name(marriage, divorce, adoption) must report change to the DMV within two weeks. • If you have an out of state license and you move into NJ you must exchange it for NJ license within 60 days or prior to its expiration, which ever comes first. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THESE!!!!

  8. All motor vehicle laws apply to cars, mopeds, bicycles, and pedestrians. • Your license and registration will be suspended if you fail to pay any and all judgments rendered against you in excess of $500.00
