Timo is developing public-private collaboration models for the healthcare sector and managing the OuluHealth Labs innovation, testing and development environment. Transforming healthcare with 5G – HIMSS & HEALTH 2.0 side event in Oulu Maritta Perälä-Heape is a Professor of Practice in data-enabled health care and innovation ecosystems and a Director of Centre for Health and Technology, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oulu. She is managing the strategic R&D&I collaboration between academia, business and public healthcare sector. Prof. Maritta Perälä-Heape has over 30 years' experience in the life science and health care sector, mainly in R&D and innovation management, industrial R&D, business development, R&D&I funding, innovation politics and international network building. Ms. Perälä-Heape is currently focused on building a national research and innovation knowledge Hub (DigiHealth Hub) in Finland, and creating synergies with European innovation partnerships and smart specialization strategies. Her strengths include the enhancement of open collaboration by bringing together main stakeholders and building larger R&D&I programs for the future needs in the digital data driven health society. He has worked for Nokia since that in various positions in R&D and product management. In his current role as the Ecosystem Manager he is responsible of Nokia/Oulu co-operation with surrounding ICT industry, academy and public sector. While still working for Nokia, he has also been working part-time for the University of Oulu since January 2016 as 5G Test Network (5GTN) lead. At the university he is developing an open experimentation and co-creation 5G infrastructure for national and international research projects, students and for industry. This network can be used for running 5G trials and application testing in different sectors including Health. She has special competence for healthcare information technology approved by Finnish Medical Association. She has a longstanding experience within telemedicine, mobile health, self-management tools and eHealth. She is involved in research projects on governance models in e-health. Her main responsibilities include facilitating processes for financing, accomplishing and managing several research and development projects on national and international level, finding innovative approaches to healthcare provision by the use of ICT and implementing these. Ms Line Linstad has been on the Council of HIMSS Europe since 2015 and on the EHTEL Board of Directors 2012 – 2015. Before joining the Centre she worked as a Regional Health Planner in the Region of Northern Norway. She has also been involved in patientorganizations both professionally and as a user representative in The Norwegian Federation of Organizations of Disabled People (FFO) She has a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Oslo. He holds Professional Development degree (PD) in social and healthcare management from 2001. Parkkila has extensive experience of various research and development positions in the Oulu University Hospital since 1991. In his current position (since 2007), Parkkila is leading non-medical or nursing science related research and development programs and projects between OYS and different stakeholders, including productivity research. His main contribution is to apply systems thinking and methodologies in support of the overall DHI innovation model – creatively applying technology in ways that can bring about whole system change. Mr. Chute is devoted to the idea that citizens can be empowered to take an active role in their own wellbeing. Health and care services need to learn how to work with people on their own terms. Digital health offers tools to achieve this, and the DHI has the fresh perspective necessary to reconceive of the relationship between the citizen and those who might care for them.
