#1 Request for New Feature If we exit an adult or family from FLAIR on or before July 29, 2007, can you stop FLAIR from counting them?
#2 Request for New Feature • Last year, we decided that if an adult is classified as having an IEP or Special Needs, then the adult should not be counted in A-1 or A-2 Performance Indicator calculations. • Same as above for children for C-1, C-2, C-3. • But….
IEP/Special Needs “Don’t Count” • Now it’s very difficult to add up the number enrolled. • If you projected 10 adults in A-1 and you enrolled 11 adults, but 2 are IEP/SN, FLAIR only shows 9 enrolled. • Solution “Coming Soon”
#1 Request from ISBE Record adult goals for as many adults as possible. Enter into employment (paid part-time or full-time position) Retain employment for at least six (6) consecutive months Retain employment for at least twelve (12) consecutive months Enter a job retraining program Complete a job retraining program Advance career or employment possibilities Get a better/different job
#1 Error Made This Year: Failure to Check: A-1 & A-2 Not Applicable
How Many Evaluators Does it Take to Change a Light Bulb? • One to do a needs assessment • One to do a qualitative study to identify what bulb to change • One to propose further study next year • One to write performance indicators for success • So…how many evaluators does it take? • NONE! Evaluators don’t change light bulbs; that’s a program implementation problem!
What Else is “Coming Soon”? • Some reordering of tables in Summary Report II • Addition of child ethnicity tables in Summary Report I • Some corrections of typographical errors, etc. Send in whatever you’ve noticed!
