Objective of Foundation • Representing Food Importand Export Sector of Turkey, • Finding solutions to the common problems in food importation of our members, • Contributing to adaptation of EU regulationsin Turkey, • Maintaining compliance of import and customs procedures according to the regulation • Conveying to a common platform and finding solutions to problems relevant to importation and exportation.

  4. Our mission is: • To establish the legal an instutional infrastructure of the market economy to provide comfort to the system in order to capture of a significant and permanent niche for Turkey in the international economic system.

  5. We are responsible for; 1) The Adaptation of the all Regulations related to the food in European Union to Turkey. • Agricultural Ministry • Health Ministry • Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade

  6. 2) Food Safety in Importation and Exportation • Providing information of requirements of food safety regulations for our members who intend to import foods • Providing information about health certificates required by Agricultural Ministry • Providing information to our members about acceptable competent authorities which is going to issue health certificates from exporter country. • Providing adaptation of documents according to announcements released from “World organizationfor animal health” by comparing announcements of Agricultural Ministry about some specific diseases such as “Avian Influenza” to our members

  7. 3) Relations with the Government a) Abolishing non-tariff barriers and bureaucratic procedures for importation b) Representing Turkish importers and exporters forwarding their matters to the government

  8. 4)TUGIDER and Partners a) Following all regulations about food in EU and Codex Alimentarius b) Cooperation with domestic and foreign private and official institutions, chambers of trade and industry, commodity exchange markets, professional organizations, foundations, associations, societies and similar organizations.

  9. 5) TUGIDER and Members a) Protection of members’ rights on every platform within the framework of the World Trade Organization (WTO) b) Provisions of solutions under the roof of the association to problems coming from import procedures. c) Carrying on studies in order to improve business of members d) Announcingnew regulations, ammendments published by governmental organizations.
