  4. September is Suicide Prevention Month. • Step 1 is #BeThe1To ASK. • Step 2 is #BeThe1To KEEP THEM SAFE. • Step 3 is #BeThe1To BE THERE. • Step 4 is #BeThe1To HELP THEM CONNECT. • Step 5 is #BeThe1To FOLLOW UP.

  5. This is Suicide Prevention Month, but…YMS will focus on this ALL YEAR! Be a part of the solution. This banner will be up all year in the cafeteria to remind us to care! Read the poster for ideas on how you can help!

  6. What? Recruiting singers, ages 10 through 14 • Why? a young people’s chorus directed by Jonathan Welch, a vocal instructor at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts • Where? Yulee Elementary • When? Mondays, 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. (Follows Nassau School calendar for vacations) • How? Contact arts.alive.nassau@gmail.com, our Arts Alive Nassau Facebook page, or our website at artsalivenassau.org.

  7. Homecoming 2019-20 • Tuesday, October 15 – Homecoming game against Hilliard. • Friday, October 18-- Homecoming Dance •  Anyone interested in assisting with the planning of homecoming, please meet in room 8-15 at 8:15 AM on Friday, September 20.

  8. YMS Future Business Leaders of America Please see Mrs. Reynolds in room 08-14(long hall) for a brochure, an application, and a teacher recommendation form.   All paperwork must be received by Friday, September 20th.   Be a Leader Now!

  9. YMS Tabletop Gaming Club • Do you like to play games? Join the Gaming Club! • Come enjoy...Monopoly…Risk…Checkers… Chess…Rampage…Ticket to Ride…Munchkin! • If that’s not your thing, what about Dungeons and Dragons? • Or you can try puzzle games, yo-yos, and building sets! • Meet every Thursday, starting today in room 831 right after school until 5 PM. • Make sure you have a ride home! Get a form from Mr. Sernaker.

  10. Quidditch—Muggles Welcome! • YMS Quidditch Club meets every Tuesday. • Pick up a sports packet in the main office. Get that completed ASAP! • Meet in room 204 in the media center right after school. Come “S.O.A.R.” with us!

  11. Attention, Football Players: Meet in Coach Matto’s room right after school.

  12. YMS Football Rocks! • Next game—at Trinity Christian Middle School • September 24 • Bring home the win!

  13. Lady Hornets are a FORCE! • We had an outstanding night of volleyball last night with both teams beating Hilliard with great focus and teamwork!!! • Outstanding job ladies!!! • The Ladies play at home against FBMS at 5:30 and 6:30 in the gym on Monday. • Plunder those Pirates, Ladies.

  14. Make this a great day for everyone by following the rules. • Dress according to the code, and remember no open containers on campus.
