  1. S. Forgó – B. Komenczi Z. Hauser - L. Kis-Tóth Károly Eszterházy College Institut for Media Informatics z An analysis of the efficiency of e-learning educational materials in the information management program http:// www.ektf.hu/~forgos e-mail: forgos@ektf.hu Tel: 06-36/520-400

  2. Distance, elektronic (blended) learning… The accreditation process of the information management program eventually approved by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee was launched at the 2000/2001 academic year by the INSTITUTE OF MEDIA INFORMATICS of the Eszterházy Károly College.

  3. Allison Rossett, a San Diego Állami Egyetem oktatástechnológia professzora egyetért a „vegyes elmélet” megközelítéssel. „A tanulási elméletek nem olyanok, mint a vallás” mondja „Az emberek nem egy módszer szerint tanulnak!” mondja Elliott Masie. „Mi egy kevert tanulással tanuló faj vagyunk.”

  4. Blended Learning Theory Cognitivism Bloom Gagne Merrill Clark Blended Learning Theory Piaget, Vygotszky Gery Performance support Constructivizm

  5. While blended training programs combining the traditional and e-learning approach appear to be an efficient vehicle, the suitability of the applied organisational format has yet to be proven. • A closer look should be taken at obvious strengths and areas in need of improvement in the area of instructional technology.

  6. The on-line based educational materials (available for examination on any web surface via a browser program) are collections of data optimised for network communication and are even suitable for administering network-based examinations. • Quality concerns are prioritised elements of the curriculum developmental process, and the foundation of the quality assurance procedure must be established during the first phase of curriculum design

  7. Bleneded learning Classroom WBT Helpdesck f2f Test

  8. Information Specialist Librarian Subject 2001 Prepare curriculums for distance learning Results: • Distance Learning School Books: 18 • Learning Guide Books: 18 • Workbooks: 10 • Electronic Curriculums: 4 • Silicon Graphics Media Server • WEB CT Distance Learning System • Develop of Distance Learning Curriculum: (14 persons) • Develop of Virtual Individual Learning Support Center

  21. The introduction of a new quality assurance system (SAMBR)

  22. I. Information provision on the course • Information and orientation (1),

  23. the introduction of the course (2)

  24. Time line

  25. Communication II. • Asynchronized (3) • and synchronized cooperation (4), • feedback systems (5),

  26. Chat & Forum

  27. III. Design • Structure (6), • Form (7)

  28. IV. Administration • General features (8)

  29. V. Thecontent • The content of educational materials (9), • the prevalence of pedagogical and didactic principles (10), • psychological- ergonomical principles (11), • meeting media communication (device -based) requirements (12),

  30. VI. Central data base • The gathering of student data (13), • the compilation and filing of documents (14)

  31. VII. Navigation • General expectations (15), • accessory or supplementary information (16)

  32. VIII. Learner support 1. • availability, accessibility (17),

  33. Ad.Learner support 1

  34. IX. Technical requirements • Client platform standard (19)

  35. X. Evaluation, feedback, quality assurance, • Content, structure, usability (20)

  36. Strengths 1. The proportion of electronic learning is significantly lower??? The usability of educational materials available via the web-page based materials The favourite services of the WEB CT framework system are not the chat, forum, or consultation options, but the tests The structural and content-based evaluation of printed texts is showing an even distribution Weaknesses 1. Two thirds of the students primarily used printed materials during the learning process. Students do not display a continuous learning effort, but more intensive periods follow less strenuous ones The on-line consultation option was not utilised adequately The favourite subjects whose completion is marked by a practical grade include not informatics-related topics, but ones with a broader focus (communication theory, research methodology, concerns of the information society)

  37. Strengths 2. Trial tests were given outstanding marks. Distance learning textbook family, collection of examples and workbook The self-evaluation test has a high WEB-CT (4,72) score, it can be considered outstanding! The overall view of the course is very positive Weaknesses 2. The lack of glossaries were pointed out The independently acquired literature category is a weak point

  38. The Future …..from 2004 Other subjects are waited! • The Develop of Virtual Individual Learning Support Center is in the Eszterházy Károly College Investment plan is essential, to support Distance Learning Center.
