LTI 2: twisted ankle 29/Jan/01 A man stepped out of his field office.He twisted his ankle. An X-ray showed a broken foot bone. He will need a few weeks rest.
LTI 2: twisted ankle 29/Jan/01 He had to step down and eventually turn left. The step down is higher then usual. Also a flat surface would have been better.He was wearing shoes without ankle support. The ankle support could have avoided twisting of the foot. Auch!!
LTI 2: twisted ankle 29/Jan/01 What caused this LTI:- Improper placement of foot. - Non optimum design of the platform outside the office (too high, surface choice)Discuss in your team:- Is there room to improve the design of platforms coming out of your offices/caravans.- Should you be considering safety shoes with ankle support.
