What do Janet and Theo do? • We promote and negotiate on behalf of our publishers. • But ultimately you will deal directly with those publishers. • We only handle journals.
What do we want ? • Sell more subscriptions • Help Individual Libraries access electronic packages. • Negotiate electronic access agreements with Library Consortia.
Now………….. Why, would that interest you??
How does that work ?? • You agree on a starting price based on existing expenditure… • You divide that price amongst existing subcribers • You “weigh” your member libraries • (small medium, large) • You pass on the offer to (non subscribing) smaller libraries • They accept The result : • Smaller libraries get a lot of content for a very low price • Bigger libraries, which already subscribed, may offset some of their costs • Everybody’s happy…

But of course, you will first want to know: • Quanto é? • Was kostet das? • Quanto costa? • What does it cost? • ¿Cuánto cuesta? • Bu ne kadar? • POSO KOSTIZEI?
The answer? We start talking at 25 % over current expenditure Well, eh ……………
But …………… We are willing and happy to negotiate !!
Thank you very much ! Cheers !
