What Is A PLC? • Defined by Rick DuFour as, “an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively in recurring cycles of collective inquiry and action research to achieve better results for the students they serve.” Activity- highlight all the words that are relevant in a cycle of continuous improvement.
What is a PLC in Our District? • SAC • District Leadership Team • Building Leadership Team • Collaborative Teams (grade level with interventionists and Special Education), Vertical, Interdisciplinary. • District grade level teams • Math Coaches • Literacy Coaches • Transformation Teams • Cabinet

PLC Goal for 2014-2015 Continuous Improvement in USD # 457 Bd. Goal-3. • Consistent process in place in every school whereby teachers and principals are working as a team toward a desired goal that benefits the students in that school and contributes to our collective goal of becoming a model district.
