Early Life Born January 22, 1788. The son of Captain John Byron and his second wife, Catherine Gordon. Christened at St. Marylebone Parish Church. Spent childhood in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Education • Early education in Aberdeen Grammar School and the school of Dr. William Glennie. - Mother interfered - Lacked discipline • Harrow School in 1801. - Fell in love with Mary Chaworth • Trinity College, Cambridge. - Close friendship with John Edlestone
