Assembly Launch • Introduction to Maths Week • Home-School Project (+ suggestions) KS1: picture using shapes – patterns with colours/shapes/numbers – make a (board)game KS2: 3D shape – nets – recipe /measures – research a mathematician – game or maths trail

Parents’ and Carers’ Workshop • KS1 e.g. four operations – mental clculation strategies – written methods • KS2 e.g. numberlines – informal and standard methods – decomposition – chunking
