A Antifederalist- individuals who oppose ratification of the constitution John Adams as an American states man diplomat and political theorist a leading champion of independence Abolitionist-a person who strongly favors doing away with slavery Amendment- an addition to a formal document such as the constitution

  3. B’s Boston massacre- called the Boston riot by the English in mar5 1770ch Burgoyne john- one of the leading commanders of the British during the revolution Battle of bull run-Battle of Bull Run also called the Firsts Battle of Manassas bill of rights- the first ten amendments of the constitution

C’s Civil war -conflict within the U.S. fought in 1861-1865 in attempt to preserve the union and end slavery Compromise- an agreement between two or more sides in which each side gives up some of what it wants Conestoga wagon- a sturdy vichel topped with white canvases and used by pioneers across America Constitution-a formal plan of government
