  2. Slow but certain When the Sun evolves into its Red Giant phase its outer edge will be way out here near the Earth's orbit so that the Earth itself will be Bar-B-Qued. Before this happens the Sun will have grown in its power output so that the temperature of the Earth's surface will be 50 - 100 degrees higher than it is today. So, long before the Sun dies, life on this Earth will come to an end. Heading home

  9. Slow but certain The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Heading home
