  2. The different kinds of TV shows • Sitcom • Drama • Sports • Documentary • Soap • Cartoon • Travel / Holiday • Kids / Children • Makeover • News • Cookery • Reality TV

  3. American TV • American TV is very different than Korean TV • Depending on what you are watching they do not blur anything out. They can also say anything they want on TV • TV can be very violent and graphic. Everything can be shown and anything can be said. • Some shows are also VERY scary, and disturbing.

  4. Drama • There are a lot of different kinds of Drama TV shows • Action • Crime fighting • Love • Science Fiction • Dramas are about watching a story unfold. There are a lot of different types, so there is a lot of flexibility. They are not about love.

  5. Sitcoms • Sitcoms have a normal plot structure. • There is a problem or some conflict. They argue and fight about it. Then there is a resolution. • Sitcoms are one of the most common forms of TV shows. • They normally only take place in a couple of different locations.

  6. Sports • SportsTV is all about sports • The most common kinds of sports shown on TV are • Football • Basketball • Baseball • Hockey • College football and basketball is also popular

  7. Soap • Soaps are really dramatic and often deal with love and betrayal • There are some soap TV shows that have been going for 50 years. • These are your cliché love stories.

  8. Cartoons • Cartoons are animated TV shows • There are children cartoons and adult cartoons • Adult cartoons are very violent and graphic.
