1992 The early nineties was characterised by a strategic decision to transform the company into a leading group in the hospitality industry. Initially the Seabank Hotel comprised 80 twin rooms, a pizzeria, pool bar, restaurant and lounge bar facilities. Seabank Hotel - Phase 1
1993/94 In late 1993 the Group acquired the Tunny Net complex, which is strategically located on the water’s edge some 200 metres away from the Hotel. During 1994/95, the building was completely demolished and a new complex constructed, comprising an a la carte restaurant, pub, disco club, beach lido and water sports facilities. Tunny Net Complex
1995 In line with the Group’s expansionist strategy, the Porto Azzurro complex was acquired in 1995. It incorporates a 99 room aparthotel complex supported with various amenities. During 1998, a further 25 hotel rooms were added to this complex. Part of this complex is today offered on timeshare basis. Porto Azzurro Resort Complex
1996-2000 During the period 1996 - 2000 the Seabank Hotel underwent major modifications, increasing its room stock level to 251 with the inclusion of additional amenities such as conference facilities, indoor pool, sauna, and a gym. 1996 - 2000 Seabank Hotel - Phase 2 - 3
2000 In November 2000, the Group opened the Hard Rock Café in Malta under a franchise agreement. This was a first for the Group in establishing a direct partnership with such a world-renowned brand name. Hard Rock Café President Pete Beaudrault with Silvio Debono (Chairman)
2002 In June 2000, the Group acquired another property. After extensive renovations, this 300 room hotel was opened in early 2002. It targets the four star plus market. It is today operated under the name of Hotel San Antonio and Spa Resort. 2002 Hotel San Antonio and Spa Resort
2002 • In 2002, the Tunny Net complex saw a number of conversions to its facilities, namely, the Waves 2 Disco Club into a theme Latino restaurant with an underlying pub area, the conversion of the Pot of Gold Pub into a souvenier shop and enhancements to finishings at the Trattoria De Buono. 2007 • Provision of 1800 meals per day • Hospital catering to Mater Dei, St. Luke’s and Sir Paul Boffa via a joint venture company with a local partner • Introduction of state of the art technology – computerised re-generation trolleys • Soft launch in July 2007 • Fully operational by November 2007 Mater Dei Hospital
