WRF/WIII coupling • Switch from WW3 version3.14 to version4.18 to keep pace with the latest wave model; • Change the option from FLX0 to FLX2 so that the friction velocity from Tolman and Chalikov is used; • Modify the Gridgen packages so that the fluxes between the mother domain and nested domain can be exchanged, which is needed by the FLX2 options; • Modify the WW3 code so that the roughness length ZNT can be output for coupling with the atmospheric model; • Fix some bugs in WW3 V4.18 so that the output issue of default ZNT value in the nested domain is remedy; • Write a script to conduct runs with the coupled system WRF/WWW for the period Oct-Dec. 2006 with wind & roughness exchange every 20mn to 1hr.
