  2. Introduction • It’s a packet manipulation tool. • It can forge or decode packets of a wide number of protocols, send them on the wire, capture them, match requests and replies, and much more. • Scapy can easily handle most classical tasks like scanning, tracerouting, probing, unit tests, attacks or network discovery. • It can replace hping, arpspoof, arp-sk, arping, p0f and even some parts of Nmap, tcpdump, and tshark). • Scapy is supported by Unix, Linux, MAC and Windows.

  3. Installation on Windows box • First we have to install python 2.5 or 2.7 • Then download scapyand open a command prompt and run “python setup.py install”. • Here is the link for installation guide on windows: http://www.secdev.org/projects/scapy/doc/installation.html
