MCFM Progress • Have used MCFM to calculate systematic error involved with Zg NLO theory predictions • Have identified main contributors to systematic error. • QCD scales - • mrenorm– varies the energy at which the strong coupling constant is evaluated • mfact – varies the energy that evolves the parton content of the proton

  5. Progress/Plans • Next, we must consolidate individual systematic errors and calculate an overall error for the Zg cross section prediction • Then, repeat the process for Zgg production.
