That does mean we need to learn more about ourselves and how things work in our own life. It also requires a willingness to accept things about ourselves that we don't like or want to face.   1. 11 Ways to Increase Your Assertiveness What this all really means is that we can't trust our own minds at the moment. That what we think, feel, and believe has been altered in order to try and make us do things contrary to balance and harmony. However, once you begin working to get your life back to balance and harmony your mind can again work to becoming whole. That doesn't mean you can't also have wealth, power, and fame. Those things are external and have nothing to do with the state of balance and harmony in your own life. So instead of trusting whatever your mind tells you, take a moment to look at the opposite and see where that takes you. Most of the time you'll discover your mind was trying to sabotage you and undermine your efforts - that it was working backwards from what was actually in your own best interest. Once you realize that fact, you can gain real control of your life and decide for yourself how you want to live, think, and react. Journaling is not just something that is done so that you can get your feelings down on paper, many people use a daily journal in order to make sure that they are getting as much as possible out of life. What can you do in order to ensure that your journaling takes on this form and that it brings everything to you that it needs to bring? Perhaps one of the first things that you can do when trying to get more out of life is to decide exactly which way you would like your life to go. If you are not yet writing things down in a journal, this would be a good place to start as it would help you to sort things out and to give your life a little bit of direction.
