  2. Athletics • For anyone interested in competing internationally in sports, or just following a variety of sports, French is an offical language of the Olympics. It is spoken in over 32 countries!

  3. French means WORLD TRAVEL! France is the number one tourist destination in the world.

  4. French is the second most frequently used language of the Internet, and much of our software has been designed in France.

  5. French is the most frequently taught foreign language worldwide after English.

  6.    Knowledge of the French language helps you compete with others in job markets such as business, medicine, aviation, law, transportation, technology, and international affairs.

  7. Cuisine Interested in the food and restaurant business? Knowing French will only benefit you, as France is known worldwide for its culinary skills.

  8. It's Already in Your Vocabulary... About 40 to 50% of English words are derived from French. Students who have studied French are more likely to score higher on the SAT/ACT/GRE/LSAT.

  9. La Fête! • Take French and you will see that we have lots of  fêtes, parties, that help us learn about the culture and  enable us to try French cuisine that is world-renowned! • Be sure to join French Club and take field trips to local restaurants and experience the French lifestyle.
