You will need to fill 8 hours of your day. • Put lunch in first • Please remember that some courses are full year courses. • Full year courses are one “credit”, and fill two “units” (semesters) • Note that all semester one courses end with a 1 and all semester 2 courses end with a 2 • Most semester long courses end in a 4
So …You will need to fill 8 hours of your day. 8 (hrs) x 2 (sem) = 16 unitsYou will need to schedule 8“credits” or 16 “units” worth of “Requests”
Additionally, you will also need to enter 2 “credits”, or 4 “units” of “Alternates”
Scheduling Tips • Note that all semester one courses end with a 1 and all semester 2 courses end with a 2 • Most semester long courses end in a 4 • Do not enter a core course number that begins with a ELL, TSE, LSE, SSE, and/or SEO • Do not enter a course number that ends with PTH or CAI • A helpful list of core courses with course numbers can be found at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByN-V9pAiSvTM0hFWE4zbzdVcWM/edit?usp=sharing • Please refer to course description books located on our website: http://www.gbaps.org/Parents/Course-Description-Books/Pages/default.aspx
Alternates… Are classes you would be interested in, if for some reason you can’t get into your requests, or your request doesn’t run. You must enter these alternates into the system in the order of your preferences. Enter your first preference first.
Ok, so which courses should I take?Talk to your teachers. Remember – it is very important that you enter your “Alternates” in the order of your preferences – First alternate first
