  2. AHEPA VETERANS COMMITTEE • SUPREME PRESIDENT REQUESTED THAT I CHAIR NEW VETERANS COMMITTEE. • MISSION IS TO RECOGNIZE VETERANS, BOTH AHEPAN & NON-AHEPAN. • AHEPA WILL BENEFIT & VETERANS WILL BENEFIT.

  3. AHEPA VETERANS COMMITEE • WHAT SHOULD WE DO? • DISTRICTS SHOULD APPOINT A LODGE MEMBER TO COORDINATE WITH THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE. • DISTRICTS SHOULD ASK EACH CHAPTER TO APPOINT A VETERANS CHAIRMAN.

  4. AHEPA VETERANS COMMITEE • RECOGNIZE VETERANS ON VETERANS DAY 11 NOVEMBER OR A DAY CLOSE TO THAT DATE. • EXAMPLE 11 NOV 2011 IS A NATIONAL HOLIDAY. • SCHOOLS SHOULD BE CLOSED SO CHILDREN CAN GO TO MONUMENTS.

  5. AHEPA VETERANS COMMITEE • OTHERWISE IF WE DO NOT DO THIS OUR CHILDREN WILL NOT LEARN HISTORY. • HONOR MEMORIAL DAY IN MAY OF EACH YEAR. • EACH CHAPTER/DISTRICT SHOULD LAY WREATHS AT NATIONAL OR APPROPRIATE CEMETARIES.

  6. AHEPA VETERANS COMMITEE • EACH CHAPTER SHOULD PUBLICIZE WHAT THEY ARE DOING FOR VETERANS. • DRAFT PRESS RELEASES, FOR THE EVENTS THEY SPONSOR. • AHEPA JOBS FOR VETERANS, SPONSOR JOBS FOR VETERANS.

  7. AHEPA VETERANS COMMITEE • VISIT LOCAL, VETERANS ADMINISTRATION OR MILITARY HOPITALS. • VISIT FISHER HOUSES AT MILITARY HOSPITALS WHERE, MILITARY FAMILIES STAY AND NEED HELP. • MAKE VETERANS AHEPANS BOTH GREEK/AMERICAN AND NON-GREEK.

  8. AHEPA VETERANS COMMITEE • CONCLUSION • AHEPA IS FOR VETERANS. • VETERANS ARE FOR AHEPA. • OUR MEMBERSHIP CAN BE INCREASED. • WE MUST MAKE A CONCERTED EFFORT TO TAKE CARE OF OUR VETERANS.
