Selecting Your Planning Team There needs to be representatives from your school community on your team. How do you get them?
Strategic Planning Your planning team will need to put together a strategic plan for completing the SOE Application.
Formulate A Work Timeline September Assemble planning team October Meet with planning team to discuss and layout entire planning process Set specific schedule/dates forNovember, December, January and February November Brainstorming session to clarify questions and determine data collection needed Review data collection needs and discuss/assign plans for sub-committees December Collect data from sub-committees

Why Brainstorming? • Brainstorming session to clarify questions and determine data collection needed • To give all stakeholders the opportunities for input • Review data collection needs and discuss/assign plans for sub-committees
Answering Questions When you begin to assemble your document, remember the process. Utilize your sub-groups to assist with gathering data for the document.
Answering Questions • Read each question carefully before answering • Break down the questions and examine the criteria/descriptors listed below the question • Answer the question thoroughly and completely • Flowering or philosophical statements without supporting data do not score very high

How does the school intervene when student personal needs are preventing academic success?
