Introduction New items, definitions, and materials PPS = Program Participation System • Purpose of Collection and What It Can Be Used For: • To provide justification for some of our state and federal funding. • To examine the demographics of the clients receiving services, and the volume of services received. • To identify trends in the clinical needs of clients receiving services. • To allocate resources accordingly. • Program evaluation, contract performance measures, dashboards, and more. This training is split into four blocks: • PPS General • PPS AODA • PPS MH • PPS/NOMS Supplemental
Constants under the umbrella term “PPS” Consumers receiving paid services must have completed PPS forms per episode – PPS information impacts state and federal funding sources. PPS information is submitted quarterly to the State of Wisconsin by BHD. PPS General/MH/AODA are required by state and federal government. PPS • Assessment types per episode are completed at least 2 different times: • 1. At admission (refer to policy) • 2. “Follow-up” – needs to be submitted within 4 – 7 months after admission or prior follow-up • 3. At discharge (refer to policy)

Make sure this is up to date each time you submit a new PPS form bundle. 2. Once you verified the demographic information is up-to-date, left-click on this to get to the PPS Mental Health (MH) Form

SPC Section • SPC = Standard Program Category/Subprogram • Select “Add New Record” to add a new SPC • Left-click “Select” to modify existing SPC codes. These codes will carry over into further iterations (follow-ups and discharges). Do not add duplicate SPC codes in future iterations! Use select to modify it. • The fields such as “SPC”, “Has this SPC service ended?”, and more will become required when a new SPC is added, or an existing one is selected.
