  14. Lloyd was born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Independence, Missouri. He studied art in high school and college where he was blessed to win numerous art awards and ribbons. In Missouri he studied under the late artist Andrew Thoman.

  15. In college was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and went to the west coast to their rookie training camp. In his second year of playing minor league baseball tore ligaments in his right ankle and being on crutches resumed his passion for painting and studied under California artist Bert Carter.

  16. His work is enjoyed in hundreds of private collections with some of the more notable collectors Art Linkletter, Debbie Reynolds and Debbie Reynold’s mother.

  17. After a couple of years living in California, Lloyd partnered with three other artist and opened a gallery in Laguna Beach, California. That same year opened an additional gallery and studio in Canoga Park, California where he taught oil painting as well. Micky Dolenz, drummer for the Monkees, was one of his art students.
