In the 1970's, Siesta Key Village was a groovy, laid-back place to meet friends and support local businesses. Everybody mixed in places like The Mews and Village Hardware, Suprex, Robenas and The Buttery.
Beachside shops like Foxy Lady, Oceanside Surf Shop and Ocean Blvd. Sailboarding, and The Wildflower had fresh, healthy vegetarian food.
