3. Since moving to the Siesta Key - Sarasota, Florida area 11 years ago, Lloyd Dobson's beach themed oil paintings hang in hundreds of homes and offices throughout the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.

4. Born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Independence, Missouri. Lloyd studied art in high school and college where he was blessed to win numerous art awards and ribbons. In Missouri he studied under the late artist Andrew Thoman.

5. In college was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and went to the west coast to their rookie training camp. In his second year of playing minor league baseball Lloyd injured his right ankle and being on crutches resumed his passion for painting and studied under California artist Bert Carter.
