Tyson Wolters, after many libations, was snowed in a farm house in Eastern Washington. After many hours of boredom and inevitable hunger, he found a whole box of tomatoes, and decided to attempt to make tomato soup. He found it needed pepper. He ended up using jalapeños because he couldn’t find any. The next morning his dad tried and said to him, “I don’t know what you were doing in here last night, but this is the best salsa I've ever eaten.” The best part is that it was an accident, in our opinion. Skip ahead to 1999, Tyson and his Wife moved to Key West and he was the night kitchen manager of the Hogs Breath Saloon. The Tyson burger is still on the menu. In 2013, Tyson and Julia met when their bands played together for a benefit in town, that his company was donating for. In 2016, Chilihead Salsa had become too busy for one man to handle, and after a few meetings (and a few beers) they decided to take the leap to the next step.
