Facts • Cleopatra’s full name is Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator. • She was the daughter of Ptolemy Auletes . • Her father left her at age seventeen. • she was to become her brother Ptolemy’s wife • a few years later her brother and guardians deprived her of all royal authority.
The war • Julius Caesar undertook a war with Egypt in which Cleopatra’s brother died. • Replaced on the throne was her younger brother, who she also was forced to marry.
Fell in love with Casear • She fell in love with Caesar. She sought out to poison her brother- husband. • After Caesar's assignation she went back to her native country.
Antony • She took part of Antony. When he left, she took trips to visit him. • Antony became her infatuated slave. • His marriage with Octavia made there connection break for a while • Cleopatra assisted him in campaigns with money and supplies.
War • Octavinous started a war with Antony . • Cleopatra accompanied him to the war • She fled when the enemies pursed her • She went to Alexandria where she was met by her lover. • When enemies were too hard to hold back, Octavinous suggested the assignation of Antony
Suicide • Cleopatra said “ We must die together” • Antony thinking Cleopatra had already committed suicide, committed suicide himself
