Importance of Integrating Technology into Instruction • Technology is everywhere. • Technology teaches students skills to enable them to be 21st century ready. • Technology builds critical thinking, creativity and reasoning skills. • Integrating technology into the curriculum heightens the learning process by encouraging active participation and enables student to connect to the world around them.

Counting Money up to $1.00 Using Touch Points • What is a Touch Point? A Touch Point is a dot. • It is worth 5 cents. .05 5 c
Each Coin has a Different Value 10 5 5 10 15 5 20 10 20 25 ***Remember , each point is worth 5 cents.
Guided Practice • Draw the Touch Points on each coin and count by 5’s
Students create a Google slide e-book showing coins • with values and Touch Point placement on each • coin. • Student play Money Tic-Tac-Toe or Jeopardy PowerPoint • Game • Students play Money Kahoot • Student take assessment virtually on, IKnowIt Technology Used to Assess Mastery
How Integrating Technology Supports my Schools’ Vision and MissionMy professional development addressed teaching educators how to incorporate technology into a particular lesson. My staff development also offered teachers ideas on how to incorporate technology into their Live Lessons and encouraged students to remain engaged. It fosters student success by preparing them for the 21st century by helping them to learn in an innovative way.
