Early work • Much of his work was with the king of France Henery the IIV • Wanted to show prosperity and aspirations for the people of France • designed the facade in the chapel of the Feuillants in the Rue Saint-Honoré • No longer stands completed in 1623
His work why so little • Most of his work = wealthy people • When the French revolution came around, masses of French destroyed most of the houses and churches for the rich
Chateau-de-maison-lafitte • Only surviving piece of early work, • Meant for French royalty • 1642 was when it started
Val- de- Grace • Convent and church located in Paris • Exact date of the building time is unknown • After the French revolution and till today used as a military hospital
Mansard roof Is conisderd the father of the mansard roof For slopes on each side of the roof Seen in many French villas and chateaus
Died on September 23 1666 in Paris • Of causes unkown
