    2. What are they? “A robot that uses omni-wheels can move in any direction, at any angle, without rotating beforehand.” The WHEELS are what allow the robot to move in multiple directions. They use multiple small wheels inside of one big one. They reduce the amount of frictional force during turns. You need traction on your wheels in order to go over bumps or hills, so the wheels stay in contact with the ground. But too much traction can lead to restricted maneuverability.
