  4. NEXT STEP: Take five minutes to read through the document again, this time referencing the list. You will need to underline what you believe is the most important sentence.

  5. FINALLY You and and your partner will need to take one minute each to quickly share what your document was all about and your most important sentence. Then, you and your partner will need to come up with a statement, in ten words or less, that summarizes both documents. HINT: Both documents are saying the same thing

  6. Put BOTH documents in your notebook and include this statement: Athens’ democracy was based not on wealth, but on ability and citizenship.
