OpenUp! 3rd TMG Meeting BGBM Report Botanic Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem Freie Universität Berlin BiodiversityInformatics@bgbm.org
WP1 (Task 1.3): Overall Technological Coordination and Quality Assurance Duringthefirst 6 months, we • set up the TMG and the TMG website, • organized TMG meetings (in month 1, 4, and 6, weekly „stand-upmeeting“), • supported the OpenUp! standardisation process at two levels: • contributionstothespecificationofserviceinterfaces • contributionstothe ABCD-ESE mappingefforts (see http://open-up.eu/content/wp3-abcd-ese-mapping-workshop-june-21-22-bgbm).
WP3 (Task 3.3): Setting up the Natural History Data Integrity Services The OpenUp! Data Integrity Service (ODIS) is a rule-based system for checking structural correctness of ABCD data accessible via a given BioCASE provider service installation. The service makes extensively use of the BioCASe protocol and returns detected data integrity violations as annotated ABCD-documents. Full specification delivered (mock-up, month 4, http://ww2.biocase.org/odis/queryform). Functioning prototype (6 simple integrity rules only) implemented using node.js (month 6).
WP2 (Task 2.1): Collection Data Quality Toolkit An integrated software toolkit offering a common User interface for OpenUp! data quality and integrity services. Originally planned as an Office application. Now implemented as a Web application with a very simple HTML-form UI. Prototype delivered in month 6. Botanical and Zoological quality services not yet integrated.
The next 6 months: Data Integrity Services DoW: month 9 – Data integrity service up and running (C3.3.1 – D07). Add asynchronous access to result documents (in the protocol but not yet implemented). Add more rules. Testing, testing, testing.
The next 6 months: Data Quality Toolkit DoW: month 12 – Collections Data Quality Toolkit production version (C2.1.2 – D07). Include botanical and zoological quality services. Improve User Interface. Testing, testing, testing.
