Purpose of this meeting • Reflect on our activities in 2011 • Determine the four events for 2012 -13
2011 re-cap • Program of four annual events and one annual planning meeting • A focus on specific themes for each event as selected by members • Different planning groups and process for each event • Partnerships with organisations and communities across Boroondara • Diverse times, days and settings for events
2011 Actions and Outcomes • 56 new members joining the network contact list through events • Average 40 attendees at each event • 7 organisations as event partners/hosts • Different target audiences and attendees at each event in addition to regular members • Out-reach though mail out, publicity in the Progress Leader and Boroondara Bulletin • Launch and use of the Boroondara Interfaith Network Blog: boroondarainterfaith.wordpress.com • Network information • Event notices • Event reports, materials, sound files and photographs • Use of eventbrite for managing and promoting events
Partnership with Boroondara Library Services Authors and writers from different faith traditions Rainbow serpent with Auntie Margaret Worn Evening weekday event Faith, Expression and Learning Gathering
Partnership with GreenFaith Australia Hosted by Leo Baeck Centre for Progressive Judaism Presentations and panels on religion and environmental ethics Wurundjeri Smoking Ceremony by Bill Nicholson Weekend afternoon Religion and Ecology Forum
Partnership with Building Bridges Program and The Wellspring Centre Supported by Boroondara Youth Services Year 9-11 students from four schools Workshop sessions and discussion on generational change issues Week day after school, early evening What is faith in my generation?
Partnership with Swinburne University Chaplaincy, Multifaith Centre and Swinburne International Focus on service providers and experiences from faith communities Forum format Week day, daytime A different point of view

Ideas for event themes 2012 – 13 • Three events for 2012, one event for early 2013 • JCMA Schools Program event: Amy Cullianan • Ideas from members: • Sacred Texts -- Another view of God ( how do they shape our lives & our world) • Responses to Poverty: Swinburne Institute of Social Research. • Silence! (and other meditation/ contemplative approaches) • We could explore the development and history of the interfaith dialogue movement • Comedy. Invite folk to share on humour in faith • The multifaith family and diversity in the home • Art exhibition • Round Table for religious leaders and professionals
