By Friday you should complete four boxes with three of them that connect either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to make a tic-tac-toe. Parents, please initial next to the pencil to indicate which homework activity your child completes every night.Math: Comparing and organizing length and nonstandard measurement Measure your bed. Use your hands, feet, and a pencil to measure the length of your bed. Write a few sentences about which way worked best and why. Find 15 small objects in your home. Organize them from smallest to biggest. Complete Math Sheet #1 by drawing your family from shortest to tallest. Complete Math Sheet #2 by choosing 5 things in your home and measuring them. Be sure to draw a picture of what you chose to measure and record your measurement. Draw a set of 8 flowers. Make half of them purple and the rest different colors. Write the fractions for each color. Number Detectives sheet. Use the number 72. Make a list of ten different names of either friends or familymembers names. Make a graph to show how many letters are in each name, Then write a few sentences to explain which name was longest and which name was shortest. Estimate the length of your table if you measured it with a ruler. How many feet (1 ruler) long is your table actually. How did your estimate turn out? Complete Math sheet #3 to review what you’ve learned about fractions.
