1. National Status on LWR and related R&D • Less than 3 slides • Given the limited time please focus on the new activities, or on those that have changed since July 2011. • Countries are welcome to provide, in addition to this presentation, an extended presentation or a summary report just for distribution during the meeting.
2. New Technologies applied to operating LWRs • 2 slides • Include topics such as: • Lessons learned from operating plants that can be used to improve new designs • New technologies that have been retrofitted into operating LWRs • Lessons learned from new build projects • Lessons learned from restart projects • Share best practices
3. Post Fukushima Actions • 3 slides • Focus on: • Feed-back to operating LWRs • Impact on future LWR designs and constructions • LWR related R&D activities to address technical issues from Fukushima accident
4. Proposals for future IAEA activities • 3 slides • Focus on activities that fit within the IAEA Program on “Technology Advances in WCR” Technologies that contribute to improve the economics and the performance of existing or future LWRs, and fit the strategic goals • Monitor international activities • Facilitate the exchange of information among MSs • Foster collaboration among MSs • Support near-term deployment (including newcomer support) • Provide technology training • For each specific proposal, please include • Topic • Expected outcome • Approach
