  3. About MESC • Media and Entertainment Skills Council incubated by FICCI • The Council is chaired by Dr. Kamal Haasan • Mandate to create a pool of 11.74 lacs (1.2 mn) skilled and employable workforce in the sector by 2012 www.mescindia.org

  6. MESC – Job Roles Update • 4 job roles from 2 occupation approved and announced as National Standards • 52 job roles from 12 occupations in different stages of validation • Job roles from few more occupations in the pipeline

  7. MESC in STAR Scheme • Participating in the STAR Scheme with the following QPs/ Job Roles in Animation/ Gaming sub-sector • Animator • Rigger • Modeller • Texturing Artist • Target of 10,000 trainees to be certified by MESC under the STAR Scheme www.mescindia.org
