Introduction • A global online information system on coral reefs • Provides information on location, status, threats and management of coral reefs in over 130 countries and territories • Houses >26,000 References, including >6,000 downloadable publications • Thematic data includes coral bleaching, monitoring sites, Marine Protected Areas, etc.

  4. What does ReefBase do? To improve sharing and use of data, information, and knowledge in support of research and management of coral reef resources • Provides easy access to relevant information on key issues related to coral reefs • Provides database & web support to projects / organizations in developing countries

  12. Millennium Coral Reef Mapping Project High-resolution coral reef polygons based on global mapping project (Millennium Coral Reef Mapping Project), funded by NASA.
