  1. A * ns B *** * Supplemental Figure 1. Paraquat- (A) or rotenone- (B)-induced JNK activation in dopaminergic neurons is partially attenuated by siRNA to Jnk1 or 2. Primary cultured E14 mesencephalic neurons were transfected with Jnk1 or 2 siRNA or control siRNA. Twenty-four hours after transfection, cells were treated with 40 µM paraquat, 5 nM rotenone or their respective vehicle controls for 8 h. Cells were fixed and stained for TH and p-JNK. The intensity of JNK phosphorylation in TH+ dopaminergic neurons was quantified. *p<0.05; ***p < 0.005; ns, not statistically significant.
