Interest for Occupation • My interest in this career is rooted for my passion and success in Science in mathematics courses. These difficult courses are required for this excellent career, and I have what it takes to get there • I enjoy working in a social environment and helping people. Working in the comfort of my own office and socializing with fellow employees and patients is perfect.
Requirements • Leaving high school I will need the listed courses in order to gain entry into UBCO • English 12 • Principles of Mathematics 12 or Pre-Calculus 12 (minimum 67%) • Two other approved provincially examinable Grade 12 courses, including at least one Biology 12, Chemistry 12, Geology 12, or Physics 12 • Chemistry 11
Undergrad • I will be taking my first 4 years or undergrad at UBCO • I will be taking health studies, Which is a 4 year course • After using the very convenient tuition calculator on the UBC site, I calculated that it will cost me $6,823 for my first year of tuition • The undergrad course for Health Studies Runs for a duration of 4 years
Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College • I will be attending the (CMCC) in Toronto For a duration of 4 years while completing my undergrad • Estimated tuition and fees for the four year program is $85,000, books and supplies $3,000, and annual living expenses $12,000
Salary and future outlook • I expect to be making roughly $23 per hour which works out to be about $140,000 per year • I can potentially be making $160,000 per year • It is anticipated that chiropractors will be in high demand in the future years
Work conditions • Chiropractors work full time (40 hours/week) and often longer. • There is practically no risk of injury. The only case would be improper use of X-ray machines • I would work at wherever I have established an office • There is a possibility of working with a partner who I share an office with. I would also work with a secretary • The work conditions would be comfortable but busy
