  2. Last Meeting… • Varied QCD and QCD_fac scales in order to evaluate systematic errors • Learned that there was greater error in cross section calculation when scales were stretched in opposite directions.

Past Week • Varied measure of energy of decay products • From (p3 + p4 + p5) • To sqrt(M^2 + pt5^2) • where M = mass of particle 3+4 My program: SigmaAvg: 6608.65 Error: +/- 19.7897 (0.299%) Al's program: FiducialZ+g inclusive CS = 1362.37 fb (change: -0.239%) FiducialZ+g exclusive CS = 1141.51 fb (change: -0.761%)

  4. My program: SigmaAvg: 6590.32 Error: +/- 18.1118 (0.275%) Al's program: FiducialZ+g inclusive cross section = 1360.00 fb(change: -0.413%) FiducialZ+g exclusive cross section = 1132.31 fb (change: -1.56%) • Set QCD and QCD_fac scales to mass of Z boson

  5. Altered structure of proton (PDF) • Changed input from CT10.00 to mstw8nl. My program: SigmaAvg: 6595.55 Error: +/- 18.4498 (0.280%) Al's program: FiducialZ+g inclusive cross section = 1376.28 fb (change: +0.779%) FiducialZ+g exclusive cross section = 1152.51 fb (change: +0.196%)

  6. epsilon_h = 0.01 • My program: • SigmaAvg: 6488.2 • Error: +/- 14.7741 (0.228%) • Al's program: • FiducialZ+g inclusive CS = 1354.69 fb • (change: -0.802%) • FiducialZ+g exclusive CS = 1138.73 fb • (change: -1.00%) • Varied isolation of photon • epsilon_h = 1.0 • My program: • SigmaAvg: 6510.99 • Error: +/- 12.9983 (0.200%) • Al's program: • FiducialZ+g inclusive CS = 1346.09 fb • (change: -1.43%) • FiducialZ+g exclusive CS = 1132.95 fb • (change: -1.50%)
