2. Colonial Times was Different • Colonial people used everything they had • They never wasted any thing For Ex. Animal skin • Life was very hard Remember those 3 big ideas.

3. Life Was very hard • Everybody had a job, even kids • People had to go to the bathroom in pots • 3 random people had to sleep together • Teachers had to stay at students houses • They did not have electricity • They used fire to cook • Kids had to bring wood to school for heat

4. They reused pipes • They used animal leather to make water pitchers • They used animal fat for the wax of candles • They cut the brooms when they got bended and used them again They Used Everything They Had

5. They Never Wasted Anything • They kept the animal skin after they ate the animal and used it for leather • They still didn’t waste some of a dead animal; they used the animal fat for candles
