Partitioning Disks • Before a disk can be used, it must be divided into partitions and formatted • Partitioning: dividing surface into specific areas (partitions) • Windows and Linux use the fdisk command • Linux: case sensitive • Windows: not case sensitive Connecting with Computer Science, 2e
