Siemens Power Generation in Ghana: 50 MW Thermal Plant in Tema Phase I • Plant has been procured directly by the Ghanaian Government to increase power generation capacity on short notice • Siemens offered short-term solution with 5 Siemens Gas Turbines (3 SGT-300 and 2 SGT-400) with a total output of 50 MW ISO open-cycle • Plant was built in partnership with EPC “Atholl Energy” and commissioned in 2009 • Plant can run on Diesel and Gas depending on availability of fuel • Recently, plant has been utilized to generate electricity at peak demand in Ghana Tema Plant from Siemens The Future • Siemens is committed to further support the Ghanaian Government and Utilities in overcoming its power generation challenges • Siemens is ready to make proposals for a Phase II of the plant, either by converting it to combined-cycle, increasing its efficiency, or adding additional gas turbines • Siemens offers full after-sales service for the Tema Plant SGT-300 Model
