Task 3.1 Tracking Module • Results • TECNO is providing the OBT • EDC is developing the Centralised SMS Hub (GS) • EDC has provided the SIM cards to be integrated in the first 3 OBTs • SCIRO has defined the interface between the TM and the DPM (XML schema) • SCIRO has defined the Event Messaging procedures • Problems • TECNO should clarify how to manage the OBT installation and configuration and the related SMS messages and procedures • TECNO should provide “how to use OBT functionalities” and SMS message examples • EDC has complete and integrate with the DPM The centralised SMS Hub • The Tracking Module should be integrated with the CP OBTs • SCIRO has to deliver the final version of the XML schema

Task 3.1 Tracking Module XML interface between TM and DPM • Results • An XML Schema has be defined, including OBT generated and terminated message sets • Problems • Something may be modified following the TECNO clarification of the meaning and use of some messages • TECNO should clarify how to manage the OBT installation and configuration: some new configuration and diagnostic messages may be introduced

Task 3.1 Tracking Module Event Messaging Procedures • Results • Two different policies have been identified: • The OBT sends messages on timed events (the OBT switches from sleep mode to active mode and vice versa). Time intervals are defined for: • Login in GSM network • Position acquisition • Send SMS messages • The OBT is able to work in Timetable Supervision Mode. The DPM sends timetable data to the OBT. The OBT sends messages only if there is a deviation with the configured position or sensor configuration. • Problems • TECNO should clarify how to use some OBT functionalities and SMS messages.

  8. Task 3.3 Asset Management Module Definition of hierarchy in wagon types • The Order Manager has to translate the Customer transport request in type and quantity of wagons, providing different alternatives of wagon types and the hierarchy. • No work to be performed by the F-man tool.
