What is a Web Quest? A Web Quest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web.
Why a web quest? Students will; • Improve information literary skills • Improve research skills • Gain specific art historical knowledge • Not have to leave home
Other motivations; • Expose students to the most current pedagogical practice • Active vs. Passive • A multi media and multi dimensional approach to learning

Setting up a quest • an introduction and some background info • a task achievable and interesting • a set of information resources e.g. web pages, documents, e’mail of experts, searchable databases • a description of the process with clearly described steps • guidance on how to organise ones findings • a conclusion
