  2. The icon for Taihape is the good old gumboot: WHERE WOULD YOU BE WITH OUT YOUR GUMBOOTS☺ TAIHAPE IS THE GUMBOOT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!

  3. Gumboots, they are wonderful, gumboots, they are swell 'coz they keep out the water, and they keep in the smell. And when you're sittin' round at home, you can always tell When one of the Troops has taken off his gumboots. If it weren't for your gumboots, where would ya be? You'd be in the hospital or infirmary 'coz you would have a dose of the 'flu, or even pleurisy If ya didn't have ya feet in yer gumboots. Now there's rugby boots and racing boots, and boots for havin fun. But the only boots I'm never without, are the ones that start with "gum". I've got short ones and long ones, and some up to me belt. I'm never dressed 'till I've got on me gumboots. If it weren't for your gumboots, where would ya be? You'd be in the hospital or infirmary 'coz you would have a dose of the 'flu, or even pleurisy If ya didn't have ya feet in yer gumboots.

  4. MY LIFE IN TAIHAPE In Taihape my family and I lived on a farm. Being on the farm was awesome!!! We farmed cows, sheep and bulls. Our farm was 1,500 acres. I lived in Taihape for 7 years. It was my favourite place in the whole wide world… and it still is!!! Our address was: RD3 Winiata. Our phone number was: 3881234
