Problem for www.diis.dk • Only automatic display of in-house publications – unsatisfactory! • Web platform/CMS not geared to our need • Developed the system from scratch – Library, it-department, P&I • From now on: automatic display of both external and in-house publications DIIS ∙ DANISH INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

  5. Problem for DIIS Researchers • Hell of a job feeding-in to Management’s monitoring systems • No automatic exposure of important (= all external) publications on the web DIIS ∙ DANISH INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Solution: DIISP • Simpel solution that meets many needs • researcher: same procedure every time • publications data catalogued once – and quality data available for multiple use • Library gets full coverage of DIIS publications • Management can extract all publications data from one source • Web can display publications wherever relevant – external publications get more visible! DIISP procedure for researchers • Fill in form online – print and sign (external publications only; P&I takes care of in-house publications) • Submit form and one copy of publication to Library • That’s (almost) it! • and within 2 hours after your publication has been catalogued in the Library, the publication will be on the web DIIS ∙ DANISH INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES
