Why have a Gratitude List? Did you know Lady Gaga had a Gratitude Journal when she was growing up? During an interview on TV, Lady Gaga and her mother recently discussed the importance of showing gratitude in one’s life and even read one of her journal entries. Did you ever have one of those days where nothing was going right and the more you focused on all the yuck, the worse your day kept getting? 2 different websites to help you understand the project a little bit better: • http://www.angelfire.com/ok/bobbiesues/pg10sa.html • From: Oprah.com and one of her Sirius/XM Satellite radio show hosts, Michael. http://www.oprah.com/spirit/The-Power-of-Gratitude • Regardless of how much you know about Oprah, she has made a large impact on thousands of people, made a large amount of money and often mentions appreciation of the abundance in her life.
How to earn full credit on my slides: • Make sure Ms. Mitchell can EASILY read what I’ve written (pictures and colors aren’t making it confusing to read) • I have included a REASON WHY I appreciate the item listed (not just a list of miscellaneous things) • I have slide numbers showing on each slide • I have pictures on most of my slides • I have a color background on all my slides (I get to choose any background I want) • 2nd time it’s graded: I have some animations on my slides
How will the GL be graded? Each time you turn your GL in…Ms. Mitchell will check to make sure you’ve completed the correct number of slides. She won’t read all of them. Some of the things typed on your GL are private and you might not want someone else to read them. You will rearrange the slides and put your best 3 at the front of your slide show for Ms. Mitchell to grade. Each slide is worth 5 points. Now let’s look at some examples.
